Sennheiser HD218 and HD228 headphones hit shelves

Not down with in-ear headphones? The Sennheiser HD218 and HD228 headphones could be the answer if you don’t like your lugs being invaded: they’re brand new closed-cup cans that block out background sound on a budget, and they’re on sale now!

Both the Sennheiser HD218 and HD228 headphones are ideal for regular commuters who hate all the inane chatter on the train, but don’t like the feel of in-ear headphones.

The lower cost Sennheiser HD218 headphones go over the ear, packing neodymium drivers, 19Hz-21KHz response and a 1.4m single-sided cable, and retail for the £40. The slightly fancier Sennheiser HD228 headphones meanwhile offer deeper bass, extra volume and extra ear pad cushioning for an extra tenner, and come in black or white.

Both the Sennheiser HD218 and HD228 headphones are out now with a 2 year guarantee, but you can check them out in our gallery before dashing down to the shops.
