The Cool-er eBook has gone on sale in the UK, and to help you decide if this plucky little digital paperback is for you, we’ve shot some hands-on footage with the device. Read on to see this e-reader in action!
We were quietly impressed with the Cool-er eBook when we tried it out last month, finding it to be a cheaper and substantially lighter alternative to the Sony Reader. The Cool-er is starting to go on sale much more widely in the UK now, so we thought we’d give you a taster of what to expect.
Specs-wise, the Cool-er will will store 1GB of books internally, with an SD slot for expansion and MP3 storage, and the battery is good for 8,000 screen refreshes on the 6-inch eInk display. There’s no Wi-Fi or 3G connectivity (that might come with a new Cool-er later this year) but it’s the size of the Cool-er really stands out: if you’re planning a long holiday or gap trip, it’s well worth a look. Conveniently, you can do that right here – check it out in our video below.
