‘G1Touch’ is the name of T-Mobile’s second Android phone in the UK, the mobile company has revealed. Read on for more details…
The G1Touch will be the successor to the G1 – aka the HTC Dream. T-Mobile told the world about the new phone via a post to the official T-Mobile Twitter feed yesterday in a tweet, reading “Very excited! T-Mobile’s highly anticipated 2nd Android phone has been named the T-Mobile #G1Touch – more soon!”
What T-Mobile haven’t yet revealed is exactly which phone will be bearing the G1Touch moniker. The third Android phone from T-Mobile was recently confirmed as the Huawei U8230 but details on number two have been sketchy.
Given the name, it is possible that a second HTC device may be in the running. The HTC Magic has been exclusive on Vodafone, but it is possible that T-Mobile may be able to start flogging that – alternatively the HTC Hero looks quite G1-like too. More details as soon as we have them.
