LG logoIt’s no secret that LG is interested in Android – it’s a member of the Android Open Handset Alliance – but the company now says that it’ll have no fewer than three LG Android phones out by the end of the year!

The CommunicAsia tradeshow has been taking place in Singapore this week, and LG was on hands to show off some of its new phones, like the LG Viewty Smart and LG Crystal. But LG also let slip at the show that three LG Android phones were on the way, destined for a release between late Q3 (September) and early Q4 this year, meaning we could be playing with one long before we leave the noughties.

LG Viewty Smart unboxed!

LG wouldn’t say if these LG Android phones would sport its 3D S-Class interface , or even if they would be high-end smartphones at all, but we’re hoping that arch-rival Samsung‘s Android plans are kicking the company in to gear. We’ll keep a close eye on this one, and bring you any further announcements.
