LG will begin selling its first 3D TV from next month, with plans to ship as may as 30million by 2012! Will we dig the extra dimension that much? Read on to find out.
LG has been walking the extra-dimensional walk for sometime now, but it’s finally putting its first LG 3D TV, the 47-inch 47LH50 LCD, on sale in South Korea next month.
You’ll need special specs to watch the LG 3D TV, but if you’ve read our verdict from testing it at CES, that’s no bad thing. Just be sure to keep a few spare pairs around should you lose them down the back of the sofa.
There’s no word yet whether as to when the LG 3D TV will be going on sale over here in the West, but since South Korea’s population is 48m, if LG is to ship as many 3D TVs as it claims it will, we’re guessing they’ll have to be sold further afield. That, or South Koreans plan on having several 3D TVs per household. HDTV hogs.
