Phone network 3 has been pushing free Skype access hard of late. In April, 3 dropped Skype charges from all of its data plans, and now it’s launching 3 SIM Zero, what it claims is the nation’s first entirely free contract.
When 3 SIM Zero launches on 17 June, you’ll be able to get all of the money saving pros of Pay As You Go without any of the hassle of remembering to top up. For nothing a month, 3 SIM Zero gives you free Skype-to-Skype calls, free Windows Live Messenger and free voicemail.
Regular calls will set you back 20p a minute, texts 10p a minute and 1 meg of data is 30p, but the best bit about 3 SIM Zero? The minimum contract term is just one month, and you only need to give a month’s notice to cancel. If only iPhone 3G owners could get out of their contracts that quickly, eh?
