Remember my lovely shiny computer with the pretty blue lights? It has been stolen by my husband, shocking but true! He wasn’t too impressed at first questioning how it would fit into our lives, what was the point of it? If you wanted a portable PC isn’t that what laptops are for?
On discovering it’s wireless ability he seems to now have to carry it everywhere with him (except the bathroom – for now … I am thankful it doesn’t have a battery pack if it needs to be mains connected that makes him easier to find with it).
I am watching from afar whilst he marvels at the ET1602 I feel rather deprived, tomorrow is my day he’ll be at work and we can spend time getting to know each other properly. In fact we may need a rota to accommodate all the interest the new machine is generating. I had wondered how my children would react, they love it too in particular the webcam, interestingly they don’t need to sign in to actually talk to anyone they are very happy applying the many webcam effects; they have the ability to remove their head, always useful!
They can add weather effects and many options make it look like a hall of mirrors where they change dramatically in shape it proved highly entertaining we were able to acquire a great selection of photos using the simple capture option with a tap of the screen. Cruel mother that I am, I got them doing a maths puzzle using the stylus, the idea is to use each number once and get the total to 999, not as simple as it sounds.
The stylus action to drag the numbers does give a more gaming edge to the task rather than just clicking with a mouse, try it to see how you get on and post your answer in the comments.
I never thought I would be thankful for football on the TV but it has given me a small opportunity to play with MY new toy and update my blog I was going to draft a letter to my solicitor but he may have redeemed himself ,Video to follow…
