Wrought with metal and bristling with class, the B&W Zeppelin offers proper hi-fi sound with loads of detail and sweet, sweet treble. Thanks to the 100W of built-in digital amplification and the two speakers, it delivers clear audio from any one of your iPods (shuffle not included).
If we were being really picky we wouldn’t say no to bigger bass and a better remote. And while we’re on it, that near-£400 pice tag is a tad inflated (arf!). Still, the interaction between your iPod and Zeppelin (you can jump into the iPod’s on-screen menu and tweak settings specifically for the Zep) is a nice touch.
Ignoring the fact that the USB port is for software upgrades only (why can’t you hook up your computer for iPod synching?) the B&W Zeppelin is the leader of a generation. Before it we were littered with car-grille-styled iPod docks. Now we have Zeppelins, big strange domes and weird grand piano docks. This Zeppeling truly soars.
