Oh the humanity. Just 70 years after the Hindenburg burst into flames and barely a year since Led Zeppelin arthritically rocked the Dome, B&W brings you the best Zeppelin yet.
Wrought with metal and bristling with class, the B&W Zeppelin offers proper hi-fi sound with loads of detail and sweet, sweet treble. Thanks to the 100W of built-in digital amplification and the two speakers, it delivers clear audio from any one of your iPods (shuffle not included).
If we were being really picky we wouldn’t say no to bigger bass and a better remote. And while we’re on it, that near-£400 pice tag is a tad inflated (arf!). Still, the interaction between your iPod and Zeppelin (you can jump into the iPod’s on-screen menu and tweak settings specifically for the Zep) is a nice touch.
Ignoring the fact that the USB port is for software upgrades only (why can’t you hook up your computer for iPod synching?) the B&W Zeppelin is the leader of a generation. Before it we were littered with car-grille-styled iPod docks. Now we have Zeppelins, big strange domes and weird grand piano docks. This Zeppeling truly soars.

And you don’t need to pair it with a separate sub – the built-in bass is solid and punchy enough. [...]
[...] B&W Zeppelin Mini, just about the most promising station for your song chucker since, well, the original Zeppelin. It cuts the size of that quirky dock, but what about price and sound quality? Read on to find [...]
[...] Haul it out of its box and the Pioneer XW-NAS5 is immediately impressive. Sleek, solid, curvy and coated in beautifully glossy automotive-style paint, it’s most definitely a winner in the style stakes. There’s not even an ugly iPod docking port to spoil the clean lines – you reveal it only when needed, by flipping open a hatch on top. All in all, it’s the best-looking speaker dock since the original B&W Zeppelin. [...]
[...] punch to your lugholes. We found bass to be a touch on the narrow side (compared with, say, the B&W Zeppelin or the Pioneer XW-NAS5, both of which are much pricier), but considering the price it’s a more [...]
