We knew the Nokia N86 8 megapixel cameraphone wasn’t too far off after the support pages went live on Nokia’s site earlier this week, but now the Finnish phone maker’s gone and pulled the firing pistol. The Nokia N86 is shipping worldwide, as we speak!
The sliding, Nokia N86 cameraphone with GPS and 8GB of storage is the company’s first with an 8MP sensor, and while it’s late to the party, it promises to be one of the best yet for hi-res imaging, whatever the conditions, as it packs a mechanical shutter and blur reduction.
We’re chasing Nokia UK right now to confirm release date for the Nokia N86 in the UK but it should be soon. Not only does 19 June see the release of the iPhone 3G S, but the Nokia N97 and Nokia 6700 as well.
