MacBook ProApple’s Worldwide Developer Conference has just got under way and the first bit of news delivered was an updated MacBook Pro family!

First up was the new 15-inch MacBook Pro – the fastest laptop ever made by Apple. The speed is ramped up thanks to a 3.06GHz Core 2 Duo processor. It will also boast Apple’s new built-in battery (which gives it 40 per cent more life) and up to 8GB of internal memory. Another upgrade is the built-in SD card slot. The price of the 15-incher has also come down and now costs £1,699 – that’s $300 cheaper than before.

The 17-inch MacBook Pro, forgoes the SD card slot and goes instead for an ExpressCard slot, allowing you to slip in a memory card from your digital camera and see your pictures straight away. It’s complimented by a 2.8GHz processor and a 500GB hard drive!

And finally a MacBook Pro small enough to fit in our manbags – a brand new 13-inch MacBook model. Starting at $1,199, it will feature all the amazing new extras (with SD card slot). We can’t wait to get our hands on them.

Out now | From $1,199 | Apple
