Acer 3D notebook out this year!Acer will launch a 3D notebook that wedges another dimension in to your movies on the move, and by the end of October this year!

According to Campbell Kan, Acer vice president of mobile computing, a 15.6 inch Acer 3D notebook will ship from late October 2009, with direct support for 3D movies, and software built in to convert plain old flat films into the next dimension.

Kan says the first Acer 3D notebook will require stereoscopic glasses to work, but an Acer 3D notebook that ditches the berk binoculars is in the pipeline. The first Acer 3D notebook won’t be officially announced until Windows 7 launches though, as it’ll run with Microsoft’s new OS out of the box.

It doesn’t sound like the Acer 3D notebook will do its magic with games just yet, but DigiTimes snapped this shot of the Acer 3D notebook on the show floor at Computex, so it looks like it won’t be an empty promise. Here’s hoping the Android Acer Aspire One makes it through the same launch window too.
