Got an O2 Joggler? Know your way around a bit of coding? Here’s a little something for the weekend for you: a disgruntled owner of the touchscreen calendar cum digital photo frame is offering a £1,000 reward for anyone who can get Flash running on it.
O2 has already said it might sell apps for the O2 Joggler on its O2 Litmus store, but for the moment, you’re locked into whatever O2 has preloaded onto your O2 Joggler. One new owner’s not happy with this: since the O2 Joggler is powered by Moblin Linux, he wants to get Flash applications up and running on it: “Why can’t I make it do what I want it to do, and not what O2 say I can? I did not sign any contract for this hardware.”
How does he plan to hack said O2 Joggler? By paying somebody else to do it, natch. The anonymous poster has set up a website offering £1,000 to anyone who can get Flash apps running on the O2 Joggler.
We’ve contacted the O2 Joggler would be hacker to see if a solution has been found yet, but it looks like the prize is still up for grabs: if you think you know how, head on over to hackthejoggler.com and tap in with your two cents. Good luck!
