Acer confirmed all the rumours earlier this week, stating an Acer Aspire One Android netbook would be out later this year, but it looks to us like it’s here already. An Acer Aspire One Android netbook is up and running on the show floor at Computex in Taiwan, and it’s looking mighty speedy.

The model in question was an Acer Aspire One D250, hooked up to Wi-Fi. PC Watch said it booted up in just 18 seconds, and shutdown in just 1. Apps wise it chugged along merrily with Firefox, Google Docs and even YouTube HD video.
Acer says the “majority of Acer netbooks” will offer Android in the future, so we assume Android will simply be offered as an alternative OS on regular Acer Aspire One numbers, but we hope that a differently specced version is in the works too.
