We heard recently how an iPod nano 5G could squeeze a camera onboard, but iLounge has gone one further and come up with this concept based on tips it has from what it says is a solid and reliable inside source.
If the tipster proves accurate, the iPod nano 5G does look remarkably like the current iPod nano 4G, but there a few important tweaks. Crucially, the screen gets a wider aspect ratio, 1.5:1, so black bars are banished and movies will fill more of the tiny screen, and the camera we heard about is slotted around the back.
We were holding out for a touchscreen iPod nano 5G that does away with the click wheel, but if the source is right, we might have to wait a while yet. There’s no word on when an iPod nano 5G will be released, but the last two versions have appeared in August/September time, so look for it after the fuss from a new iPhone has died down.
