lords-of-shadowHideo Kojima’s studio, Kojima Productions, has been teasing its next game with an infuriating mix of rainclouds, a countdown and odd numerals popping up on its website. Is it hinting at a new Zone Of The Enders, something involving Raiden, the next Metal Gear game, or something else? The secret may be out: it’s Lords Of Shadow.
According to CVG, the latest issue of PSW magazine boldly states: ” Konami has been busy hinting at what the Metal Gear Solid 4 developer will do next. Well we know. And all will be revealed next issue.” This is alongside a silhouetted man. CVG and others reckon the silhouette is a near identical match to the main character from Konami’s upcoming game Lords Of Shadow.

Konami is the publisher Kojima Productions works for. Lords Of Shadow is described by Konami as “a dark fairy tale with lots of combat and puzzle solving” that will set a “new standard for action-adventure titles.” It’s being developed in Spain by Mercury Steam, the creators of the Clive Barker’s Jericho game.

Stealthy-sounding action-adventure? Kojima having recently spoken of his desire to work with Konami’s Western development studios? The silhouette and the character’s similarity? Count it as rumour for now.
