PS3 owners need not worry, PS3 is region-free for PS3 games, so buy from anywhere you want. Infact, I suspect Play and Amazon which both have Jersey based operations will be selling this from France anyway. Sorry Microsoft, you lose. I mean clearly Activision Blizzard HAVE a PS3 version to sell (as it's available outside the UK), but Microsoft have bribed them to withhold the PS3 version in the UK. Is this legal? It's surely borderline illegal.
