We were bowled over by the TomTom GO LIVE series when we took it for a test drive late last year but the price meant that jumping online to check fuel prices and Google the area around you were features reserved for long haul and business motorists only. Now though, the TomTom XL LIVE Europe is bringing those always on internet features to the mass market at a much cheaper price.
The The TomTom XL LIVE Europe still packs the same specs as the previous One XL: a 4.3-inch widescreen, but for £7.99 a month the TomTom XL LIVE Europe will also give you access to HD traffic, safety alerts and IQ Routes, so you’ll see what the fastest route is depending on the time of day. And as you might have guessed by the word Europe, it works across 42 countries on the continent too.
The TomTom XL LIVE Europe leaves the garage and drives onto shelves next month for £249.99, so you’ll be able to take it for a spin in weeks, but you can have a first look in our gallery right here.
