Online store Play.com has just launched its own credit card with a reward scheme that’ll have you cashing in when you spend.

We normally eye credit card schemes with suspicion, but Play.com’s offer looks like it will get you genuine discounts. With the Play.com credit card, every pound you spend on the site will get you 2 PlayPoints to spend on the site.

With any purchase you make outside of Play.com, you’ll still get one point per quid. 500 points add up to a £5 gift voucher on Play.com, which means some nice little savings if you use the card for your weekly shop – just remember to pay off the bill before you get hit with the 15.9% APR. So long Nectar points, we want free Blu-rays instead!

    Nice savings there. 2%

However as with all great offers, it s sly way to get people to sign up, and then as soon as they have loads of people, the rewards evaporate, as all the other cards have done in the past…

I recieved the new play.com credit card but have over £20.00 worth of reward points but can not redeem them. I have contacted both MBNA and Play.com but no-one seems to help, it is definately not my browser or computer as MBNA have taken my user name and id and tried on their own computer and got the same result as i did “NOTHING”. I was wondering if anyone else is having the same problem
