The new iPhone will pack an OLED screen and will ship from 17 July, according to a source close to the Apple hardware team tasked with making the secret successor to the iPhone 3G. Read on for the full spec forecast!
We’ve heard whisperings of an OLED iPhone before, but now a new source supposedly tight with the iPhone team says one is on the way, promising a 1.5x improvement in battery life with it when it hits shelves on 17 July.
The new iPhone: what we know so far
The other specs the source provides for this OLED iPhone include the 3.2MP camera and 32GB upgrade we’ve heard about before, plus a new rubber backing to make it easier to hold, and a glowing Apple logo built into the back. Hopefully it won’t “breathe” like a MacBook – that could be seriously distracting on your night stand.
For real? The site publishing the claims has no track record of Apple leaks, but barely a day goes by now without a new iPhone rumour seeping out: some things have surely stuck by now. Hopefully all will be revealed come 8 June.
