The LG Viewty Smart, LG’s snap happy successor to the Viewty touchscreen phone, goes on sale in the UK in May, a month before expected!
We originally had the LG Viewty Smart pegged for a June release on Orange, but LG has jumped the gun and confirmed that the LG Viewty Smart will hit shelves in Blighty later this month. The original LG Viewty has sold 7m handsets since 2007, so the Viewty Smart has a tall order to follow, but we reckon it might be up to the challenge.

The LG Viewty Smart marries an 8MP camera, like the LG Renoir, with the style and S-Class interface of the LG Arena, clocking in at just 102g in weight and 12.4mm thick, making it the thinnest 8MP phone ever. We still don’t know the precise date the LG Viewty Smart will be launching on, but expect a first play very soon.
