Amazon has just launched Kindle Publishing for Blogs, a service to let bloggers publish their sites in a Kindle friendly format, and make money while they’re doing it!

You can already browse a select number of blogs on an Amazon Kindle, but Amazon has just opened up its platform to let any blogger sling their site to the popular e-reader range.

Kindle Publishing for Blogs has just launched in beta: to get involved, all you need to do is sign up for a free account and make your feed available to Amazon. Kindle Publishing does the rest of the converting work for you.

Signing up to read a blog on Kindle Publishing generally costs $2, but for that money you can get the entire archive too for your eyes to graze on. Amazon hasn’t confirmed how much bloggers on Kindle Publishing can charge, but if you’re the publisher, you’ll get a 30% cut, with Amazon taking a 70% pound of flesh.

There is a glaring problem in Amazon’s plan for Kindle Publishing for Blogs, admittedly: you can read most blogs on the Kindle browser already. But Kindle Publishing for Blogs is free, so if you run a blog, there’s nothing to lose by signing up. Now, when are we getting a Kindle 2 or Kindle DX in the UK, hmm?
