Details of a new Sony Alpha DSLR range, the Alpha 230, 330 and 380, have just spilled out online. Can they out do Canon and Nikon‘s latest offerings? Read on to find out what we know so far…

In a quite momentous slip up, Sony’s Russian site accidentally posted details of the new Sony Alpha DSLR range over the weekend before quickly being taken down again. What you see here are the Sony Alpha 230, Alpha 330 and Alpha 380, and although full spec sheets were nowhere to be seen, some nice little nuggets of info still got out.

The new Sony Alpha DSLR range will all pack a revised interface, plus HDMI ports for lashing up to the TV, and if it happens to be a Sony Bravia, you can even control playback with your remote.

The Sony Alpha 230 will offer SteadyShot, while the Sony Alpha 330 and Sony Alpha 380 both boast swivel LCD screens and Quick AF Live View, with the top ender also squeezing in a 14.2MP sensor.

Pricing is still unknown, but the new Sony Alpha DSLR range is going to have to be seriously cheap to tempt us away from the Canon EOS 500D if it doesn’t shoot HD video. Expect an official announcement very soon.
