The Nokia N97, the Finnish phone company’s flagship touchscreen-toting, all-seeing, all-doing, multimedia mobile, is getting ever closer to its release date, and it looks like our lucky American cousins will be getting their hands on it first. Looking set for a July launch over here, the Nokia N97 has officially gone on pre-order across the pond for the wallet-emptying price of $699 (or around £400 to you). The handset will be Nokia’s second touchscreen mobile after the much-vaunted Nokia 5800, and it’ll run the S60 5th Edition OS.
What else has Nokia revealed about the N97? Well, you’ll be able to pick one up in those two classic colours, black or white. Good news is that you don’t have to be in the US to pre-order. If you’re from Germany, Sweden or Italy you can also sign up to become a Nokia N97 Pre-Order Club Member. Bad news? UK fans still can’t sign up.
