We’ve been bringing you the latest tech news for just under year, and it hasn’t gone unnoticed – Electricpig just smashed its way into the UK’s top 50 blog rankings!

It’s an understatement to say we’re chuffed, but we’d also like to say a big thanks to all of you, the readers who pushed us into the rankings, alongside the likes of the BBC, Financial Times and The Guardian.

Compiled by Cision Marketing, the ranking weighs actual traffic alongside links, search visibility and content. It also takes into account social media, such as our Twitter feed and Facebook group, so it’s as fair an evaluation as you’re likely to find. But then, we would say that.

Jumping straight in at 43, the ranking puts Electricpig in the same league as well established sites such as TechCrunch, Gizmodo and Eurogamer, as well as traditional media, from the BBC to the Financial Times’ Alphaville site. Not a bad achievement within 12 months, but we’ve got tons more planned for the next year. Stay tuned, and thanks again!

Congratulations guys. Good to see your hard work is getting noticed.

If you want to grow and be noticed, rather than laughed at, then you need to start posting unbiased credible stories, not the crap you have been posting of late.

PS. I wouldn’t take being on the same list as Eurogamer as a complement…

@ Mark G – why read and comment on a site that you think is crap? Surely that makes no sense?

Well done guys, keep it up!

Thanks humedini, there’s always one isn’t there ;)

Mark G: Anyone can start a blog you know. If you can do better, give us a link and we’ll have a read! Look forward to it.
