Back in February we got a glimpse of what some said was Motorola’s first Android phone – but now a shot of what purports to be a Android-powered Motorola smartphone has popped up on the web. Its name: Motorola Ironman!
Sadly, it’s highly likely Motorola Ironman is just a codename to be used during development rather than some tie-in with the hi-tech Marvel superhero of the same name. Boy Genius Report’s photo shows off what appears to be a blue-finished slider smartphone with full QWERTY keyboard.
BGR’s source claims that the phone will “most likely” run Android and be on sale by the end of Q3 2009, and that it will be a pretty high-end handset with a fast CPU and lots of features including Wi-Fi, 3G and a hi-res camera. As there are few buttons on the face of the phone, the screen could also be touch sensitive.
Stay tuned for more on the Motorola Ironman, and any other Android phone we hear rumoured.
