More phones, sir? We’ve got a gaggle of new squawk boxes to tell you about this morning. Firstly Sony Ericsson looks primed to follow up the Xperia X1 with, you guessed it, the Xperia X2.

Ted Morgan, CEO and co-founder of Skyhook (which makes Wi-Fi based geolocation software) has been flapping his lips and let slip that the Sony Ericsson Xperia X2 will use a Windows Mobile platform and will feature geolocation data from Google rather than from Skyhook.

Elsewhere, Samsung has finally unveiled its first Android phone. It’s the I7500 and an absolute beauty to boot. Inside there’s a 3.2 inch OLED display, a 5 megapixel camera, 8GB of storage, GPS, WiFi, HSPA and Bluetooth. The Samsung I7500 also has a proper 3.5mm headphone jack, unlike every other Android phone so far.

Still hankering for phone news? How’s this for juicy: Vodafone just launched an iPhone portal in the UK. Yes, Vodafone. Odd, considering it doesn’t sell the iPhone. What’s it up to, we wonder?
