The Samsung I7500 was only confirmed by O2 Germany yesterday, but already someone has got their hands on a working model and taken some photos for your viewing pleasure.

The Samsung I7500 is a desirable new Android handset (and Samsung’s first foray into the Android market) but if these photos taken by Mobile Review are any guide, it should probably come with a cleaning cloth and some polish.

As we reported yesterday, the Samsung I7500 will be running Android’s Cupcake update and won’t have a built-in hardware keyboard which, as you can see, makes for a slimline device. The OLED screen looks nice and bright, even in these fairly low-res shots, and the top of the handset is home to a 3.5mm headphone jack, which will make a welcome change from the G1′s awkward USB adapter.

One point of interest – although we only know for sure that O2 Germany is offering the Samsing I7500, the ‘desktop’ pic appears to show the logo of Frances’ Bouygues Telecom. This presumably means that O2 Germany is not alone in offering the Samsung I7500 in Europe. So, assuming that is the case, will any carriers be picking it up in the UK?

Fingerprint-tastic – looks like a decent handset though.
