The Leyio uses fingerprint recognition to guarantee security

What’s a UWB storage device you ask? Simple – it uses Ultra-Wide Band (UWB) transmissions to swap files wirelessly at speeds faster than Wi-Fi.

The Leyio is a super-powered storage device, with 16GB of memory inside, able to swap files with other Leyio devices at the flick of a wrist. It’s ultra-secure too, thanks to a fingerprint scanner than doubles as a jog wheel to zip through menus.

The huge selling point is the Leyio’s speed. UWB technology means it can transfer 10MB in a second. That’s four times faster than Wi-Fi and 100 times quicker than Bluetooth, so sending photos or videos to friends is blisteringly quick.

If your mates don’t have a Leyio yet, you can use the device’s built-in USB drive, which you can load up from the Leyio itself, before handing over to a pal.

Got your own USB stick? Great – the Leyio also has a USB socket, so you can plug it in there and load it up.

The final point of the Leyio is its security. The thumb scanner up front means only you will gain access, while the built-in USB drive is automatically wiped each time it’s slotted back into its shell. If you lose it, or if it’s stolen there’s no worry about whether it’s secure, because it’s empty.
