How are Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and inFamous related? A teaser trailer on Sony PS3′s US homepage promises an “electrifying announcement” about both Sony PS3-exclusive games on Monday, 27 April. Internet predictions range from a demo for Uncharted 2 coming with electric-superhero freeroamer inFamous when it releases at the end of May, to each game featuring unlockable characters from the other.
Kotaku speculates that it’s either an Uncharted 2: Among Thieves demo in with inFamous, or its something “even more electrifying”. The site also claims to be “privy to details on new developments related to Uncharted 2″ that it can release on Monday. This could, at a guess, include release date, multi-player announcements and more.-
One reason why many are guessing it’ll be an included demo of Uncharted 2 is the similarities between inFamous and Crackdown, and Uncharted 2 and Halo. The former are free-roaming superhero games that arguably needed a marketing boost, the latter are blockbuster franchises widely predicted to sell in high numbers. Could Sony be using the same tactics as Microsoft to boost sales for its PS3-exclusive, inFamous? We’ll know more on Monday…
