The eye paralysing white Leica M8 special edition rangefinder we spotted earlier this month has just had a price tag attached, and let’s just say it’s not as pretty as the camera itself. Read on to find out how many quid you’ll need to cobble together to claim one!
In the unlikely case you needed reminding, the white Leica M8 boasts the same 10.3MP sensor and body as the latest version of the classic Leica M8. It just also happens to look beyond beautiful, and now we know how much that paint job will set you back.
We weren’t wrong when we said the white Leica M8 would cost more than £4,000. It’s just been given a price in Japan: 882,000 yen or £6,170 in British notes.
Hopefully that £500 cashback deal Leica is offering on the Leica M8 will still be running when this version arrives: it’ll be out in June in Japan, so while away the wait with our Leica M8 photos instead.
