The ViewSonic VPC100 all-in-one has just arrived to show all the others how it’s done: it’s an iMac-style computer hidden in a screen that’s just 35mm thick!
We’ve seen budget boxes like the Asus Eee Top and MSI NetOn before, but none have been as stylish as the ViewSonic VPC100: the ViewSonic VPC100 is an all-in-one that squeezes a 1.6GHz Atom processor, DVD RW drive, Wi-Fi, 1GB of RAM and 160GB hard drive inside a shell that’s just 35mm deep.
Up front there’s an 18.5 inch display, and you’ll find Windows XP Home edition running inside the ViewSonic VPC100 to keep performance pottering along. So far so good, and while it doesn’t have an HDMI port like the even cheaper Acer Aspire Revo, it’s the best looking spacesaver this side of an iMac.
The ViewSonic VPC100 ships from next month for just £499, but you can get an idea of just how thin the ViewSonic VPC100 is in our gallery.
