The new PSP rumoured to be unveiled at E3 this year won’t be the PSP2 or PSP-4000, but something much more left field, according to new tittle-tattle. Want to know what’s in and what’s out of this mysterious new PSP? Read on…
Forget about the PSP2: Sony’s got something else “entirely unique” planned for the new PSP come June. Fansite PlayStation LifeStyle says it’s got a few details from an inside source and, if true, they point to something very different to the PSP2, or even PSP-4000.
There are few details about the new PSP, but this mysterious device won’t have a UMD drive, dual analogue sticks or a touchscreen. What it will have is a solid state storage drive, and it’ll be out before the end of the year. It’s also emphatically not a PSP2. The source won’t say if the device will sport a sliding screen or not, but before you say “PSP phone“, it won’t be that either.
So if it’s not a PSP2 or a PSP phone, that does beg the question: what does that leave for the new PSP? A PSP watch? A PSP Walkman? We don’t know, but we can’t wait to find out.

Finally a psp with umm a what?
if its not a psp2 nor a psp phone then what is it? It does beg the question, but what i’m most worried about is if it would be able to get hacked… if so then this bad boy is all over it [me] lol.
My guess is a Walkman – Microsoft is rumoured to be doing something similar with Xbox support and the Zune HD. Exciting, eh?
