The HTC Magic, the second Android phone to make it to market, ships to the UK on 5 May, and it’s up for pre-order from Vodafone now!
The HTC Magic looks to have suffered one more tiny but hopefully final delay. You’ll now be able to get the follow up to the T-Mobile G1 from 5 May, and it’s up for pre-order on Vodafone’s online shop right now.
While the HTC Magic may feature many of the same specs as the T-Mobile G1 (3.2MP camera, GPS), it’s dropped the keyboard to give it a slimmed down shell, and packs the Android update, Cupcake, to make touchscreen typing a possibility.
The HTC Magic is exclusive to Vodafone, and available free with contracts £35 per month and above. The £35 contract lasts for two years, including including unlimited mobile internet use, 700 minutes, 250 texts and unlimited calls to landlines or unlimited Vodafone to Vodafone calls.
However, if you order the HTC Magic online, you’ll get the same tariff for £30 a month, that’s a saving of £120!
The HTC Magic will also be boxed with a 2GB memory card. Sounds like a pretty good deal to us. Interested? Whip the credit card out and get ordering to be the first to bag one!
