The MSI X-Slim X340 ultra thin notebook that had us ooing and aahing at CeBIT last month is going on sale in the UK this month: read on to find out how much it’ll cost to get one mailed to you in an envelope.
We’ve been waiting for more word on the MSI X-Slim range since our first hands-on in January, and now one of the models at least is here. The MSI X-Slim X340 is up for pre-order on Morecomputers.com, with a stock date penciled in for 28 April.
If you’re in need of a refresher, the MSI X-Slim X340 is an ultra-thin laptop that’s just 19.8mm at its tubbiest, tapering down to just 6mm. There’s a 13.4 inch screen, so we’re looking at a full size keyboard on the MSI X-Slim X340, plus HDMI, 2GB of RAM, a 1.4GHz CULV chip and a 250/320/500GB hard drive.
Unfortunately that original $800 (£537) price we were guestimated by MSI back at CES has changed a bit. Morecomputers is listing the MSI X-Slim X340 for £873.59, but that’s still almost a third less than the entry level MacBook Air, and half the price of the Dell Adamo. Now, who’s going to be the first to hack OS X on to a MSI X-Slim X340?
