UPDATE: The Sharp Mebius netbook has been revealed, and it’s sporting an LCD screen on the trackpad!
A Sharp Mebius netbook is set to be unveiled next week in Japan, and this is the very first teaser shot of it. You can’t see much, but it’s definitely a better looker than the horrific media centre NEC just launched over there.
Sharp just sent out this invite to Japanese tech journos to the unveiling of a new Sharp Mebius netbook next week, and it’s already got us salivating at the sight.
You can’t make out much of the Sharp Mebius netbook from this shot, but logo embossed lid aside, it looks surprisingly thick. We’re hoping that’s because it’s a super small form ultra portable like the Sony VAIO P, or has a beast of a battery, as we can’t see a completely square 10 inch Sharp Mebius netbook going down too well.
If you’re wondering what the pink bubble to the side of the new Sharp Mebius netbook says, it translates as “You will change – The Mebius will change”, which isn’t especially insightful. Specs and pricing for the Sharp Mebius netbook are still in the ether, but expect some solid morsels of fact after next week’s launch.
