Dell Adamo 9 due August?

Remember the Dell Adamo 9 we saw tucked away inside Dell support documents? The fabled ultra thin netbook might be out by August, according to new reports.

Could the Dell Adamo 9 ship by Summer? That compendium of all things gadget rumour, the DigiTimes, has it by way of the Commercial Times that manufacturer Compal Electronics has landed an order to make an “ultra-thin” laptop with Intel’s low power CULV chip, “expected to start shipping in August”.

Now what on earth could that be for? It might be the expected Dell Mini 11 netbook, sure, but we wouldn’t want to rule out a Dell Adamo 9 incher to follow up on the excruciatingly beautiful and expensive Dell Adamo.

There are no more details on a Dell Adamo 9 just yet, but Asus is already making ultra thin netbooks, so we’d love to see Dell follow suit.
