Is this the Zune HD? Early artwork for the next generation Zune we heard rumblings about last week have just leaked online, and inside sources have backed them up! Read on for what we know about the Zune HD.
An anonymous tipster sent this promotional artwork to Engadget, supposedly from Microsoft, for a new Zune PMP, the Zune HD, sporting what would seem to be a touchscreen, a sweet polished casing and little else.
You might be tempted to pass the Zune HD off as a fancy Photoshop job like we see from Apple fans most weeks, but several inside sources have confirmed to another site, Technologizer, that the Zune HD is for real.
Said sources wouldn’t reveal many more details about the Zune HD, other than that it’ll be slightly smaller than an iPod touch, with a similar feature range, and that the artwork isn’t final, but these initial mock ups are exciting enough as it is. They still leave several pressing questions unanswered though. Is the screen OLED? Just how HD is HD? Will Microsoft see fit to release the Zune HD in Britain?
