The Nokia netbook could be back on track: new reports say a Taiwanese manufacturer is in talks with the Finnish phone company to produce its small-form laptop, and there’s even a date on the deal.
Take this with a tablespoon of salt, but DigiTimes reports that Elitegroup Computer Systems (ECS) is in talks with Nokia to manufacture the long rumoured Nokia netbook.
Inside sources have told Chinese language newspaper Economic Daily News that “the Nokia talks are expected to be settled later this quarter”, so a Nokia netbook deal could be inked by June.
It’s difficult to say how accurate these new Nokia netbook reports are, though Nokia’s CEO has admitted the company is actively looking in to the market.
