If the name hadn’t convinced you of the degree to which the Lenovo OPhone is “inspired by” the Apple iPhone, then the latest hands-on video clip will – it shows off a touchscreen interface and home screen that is eerily similar to the iPhone’s. And it’s all created with Android – albeit a custom interface designed by Lenovo.

The video (viewable at Engadget Mobile) shows somebody playing with the phone’s touchscreen interface, which seems to boast a nice degree of sensitivity – if not the full multitouch loveliness the iPhone delivers. There’s scrolling via a flick of the fingertip, handwriting, some 3D spinning a la the LG Arena and more, so take a look to see it in action (there’s very little chance that the handset will ever get a launch outside of the Far East).
