The Microsoft Surface multitouch table has been used in some interesting ways recently, not least as a way to recommend wine in Tesco. But this proof of concept program for it is even better: it’ll let you see what sushi you want and order it from your seat! Read on to catch the video.

The Microsoft Surface Kyodai Ken sushi bar app has been put together by developer Phenomblue, and it’s an even cooler way to grab some sashimi than nabbing it off a conveyor belt. Using the Microsoft Surface, you’ll be able to scroll through dishes and see how they’re made with picture in picture video, then order from your table.

There’s no word yet on when we’ll be seeing the Microsoft Surface sushi app in Yo Sushi!, but we’ll let you know if anyone takes any interest. In the meantime, check out the Microsoft Surface sushi show in the video below.
