sony have sold enough psps to be able to consider amking a second one.

Sony are releasing the walkman series x, so they have some idea how to make well wokring touchscreens.

The psp could use an oled screeen, as theye are in the X, and it would be a leg up on the itouch.

It will almost certainly be smaller, as the current psp isnt all that pocket friendly.

The popularity of the itouch and iphone is enought to worry sony

Theyve made enough psp 1/2/3000s by now.

it seems plausible, and if you think about it, something close to that design is pretty much perfect, albeit with a smaller screen.
