The HP Pavilion dv2 ultra skinny laptop launched worldwide today, and we’ve already got hands-on with it. Does it pack more into nothing than a MacBook Air? See for yourself with lashings of pics!
The HP Pavilion dv2 is a super thin, full size laptop, in the same vein as the MacBook Air, Dell Adamo and MSI X-Slim. Unlike Apple and Dell’s rivals though, the HP Pavilion dv2 clocks in with a three figure pricetag (just £499 for the base model), so you won’t feel bad splashing out on one as a second machine for the road.
It’s a slim (just 24mm at the thickest point) 12.1 inch number using an AMD Athlon Neo processor rather than an Intel Atom, and because the screen is 1280×800, you’ll be able to reap the high-def benefits of a HDMI port.
The 1GB RAM, 160GB HP Pavilion dv2 model starts shipping this week, with 2/320GB and 4/500GB combos following later this month. You can see it in action below though right now in our HP Pavilion DV2 hands-on gallery.
