If the Motorola Media Mover doesn’t ring a bell, it’s because we last saw Motorola‘s media streaming device under a different mantle, the M Cubed, back at CES in January. Now it’s got a new, unabbreviated name, as well as a nifty new feature or two.

We pegged the Motorola Media Mover with potential back in January thanks to its ability to stream movies via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and transcode video from your set top box to a phone memory card quickly and easily.

Now though Motorola is showing off the Motorola Media Mover at tradeshows working with everything from a laptop to an iPhone, and it’s even got a low-res camera so you’ll be able to use the Motorola Media Mover as a security cam you can keep an eye on from your phone.

Pricing is said to be “low cost” for the Motorola Media Mover, and considering it’s got features even Slingbox doesn’t, it could be seriously good value for money. Motorola is still keeping quiet about when we’ll be seeing the Motorola Media Mover, but it’s good to see it streaming to third party devices now. We’ll be monitoring the airwaves closely on this one so stay tuned.
