The Nintendo DSi may have launched today, but here’s something that Nintendo DS Lite owners can take advantage of: a Health Control Game Timer, which flicks the off switch for you when you’ve been playing for too long.
The Health Control Game Timer for Nintendo DS is ideal if you end up playing Ace Attorney for hours on end. Slot it in to the Nintendo DS Lite GBA slot, set the timer for 30, 60, 90 or 120 minutes and carry on gaming as normal.
As you get close to the time limit, an LED light will start glowing, and the Nintendo DS Lite will start vibrating and beeping. If you manage to play through all that and hit the time limit, the Nintendo DS Lite will simply switch off, without saving. Unfortunately, since the Nintendo DSi doesn’t have a GBA slot, you’ll still be able to go overboard on it.
The Health Control Game Timer for Nintendo DS Lite is certainly ideal if you don’t know when to stop – and know how to import goods from Japan. Of course, you could simply take it out before playing if you have a real addiction, but you could always glue it in to the Nintendo DS Lite, we guess.
