Sony just loosed the Sony HDR-TG7E compact camcorder on the world, and not only does it rival the Toshiba S10 for the title of world’s smallest, it does it while packing GPS too! Read on for specs and pics.
Measuring just 62x117x30mm, the Sony HDR-TG7E is a big ol’ upgrade on the previous Handycam TG3E slimline model: it still shoots in full HD, but there’s now 16GB of internal memory to keep your flicks, expandable via Sony Memory Stick, and intelligent face detection in video and photo mode. Oh, and Sony HDR-TG7E also hosts GPS to geotag where you filmed, a neat little trick for a ultra compact camcorder.
The Sony HDR-TG7E still packs the 2.7 inch touchscreen display, 10x optical zoom and 2.4 MP sensor, and you’ll be able to pick up a Sony HDR-TG7E wide angle lens cap on launch for fantastic panoramic views and hilarious close ups of dogs. We’ll be seeing the Sony HDR-TG7E in May for an undisclosed price, but it’s not going to be as little as the Toshiba P10, that’s for sure.
