Stroll past the Nokia Store in Antwerp and you’ll see the largest Nokia 5800 XpressMusic in the world – a four foot-high monster with a working touchscreen. Read on to find out all about it.
The touchscreen functions through the shop window, so passers-by can interact with the oversized interface by browsing Nokia Maps, skimming through a photo library and, of course, exploring the 5800’s main talent: music.
The screen is the work of touch display specialists Visual Planet and Create Multimedia, who worked together to create the hardware and a Flash interface that replicates the 5800’s (but bigger, much bigger).
There’s a video of the touchscreen in action here.
