Garmin just popped out the Garmin Forerunner 310XT, a waterproof GPS watch, so you can track your training route and stats, even in the sea!
The Garmin Forerunner 310XT will track your speed and location for up to 20 hours at a charge, and won’t break even if you dive down to 50m below sea level, so it’s ideal for triathletes, or even sailors. The alarm on the Garmin Forerunner 310XT is more of a shriek than anything too, so you’ll know you’ve hit your target even in a noisy gym or in the waves.
You’ll also be able to buy the Garmin Forerunner 310XT with a new, soft-strap waterproof heart rate monitor so you can get even more in depth improving your fitness regime – all of the data the Garmin Forerunner 310XT collects can be uploaded to GarminConnect.com to store and share.
The Garmin Forerunner 310XT is due out in the US in June for $349 (£240), and while there’s no word yet of a UK release, it shouldn’t have any problems swimming across the pond. It is waterproof after all.
