The Samsung YP-Q2, Samsung‘s next flash MP3 player, has just had a pricetag slapped on it. Read on if you want to know when you can get your hands on this lil’ iPod nano rival.
Samsung popped the Samsung YP-Q2 listing page up online earlier this month, but we now know when we’ll be able to get to grips with its diamond touch pad.
Stateside, you’ll be able to pick up the Samsung YP-Q2 from April. Like the YP-Q1 before it, the Samsung YP-Q2 comes in 8 and 16GB flavours, and will sell for £70 ($100) and £90 ($130) respectively. Not a bad price for an MP3 player that boasts 50 hours of battery for music and 7 hours for video, even if the Samsung YP-Q2 is still stuck in the land of QVGA screens.
There’s still no sign of the leaked Samsung YP-CP3, but Samsung also took the time to announce the Samsung YP-U5 ($40/£27), which betters the iPod shuffle by squeezing in an FM radio and OLED display, even if at 2 gigs, it has half the storage.
We’re still waiting on word of a UK release for the Samsung YP-Q2, and whether it’ll be BBC iPlayer compatible, but we’ll send an update your way as soon as we know.
