The Acer Aspire One D250, a slimline version of the Acer Aspire One netbook, has just been made official. Can it tempt you away from the Eee PC Shell? Read on to find out, with specs, pricing and dating.

Slowly but surely, momentum’s starting to build in the slimline netbook market: the Eee PC Shell has already piqued our interest, and now we’ve got the Acer Aspire One D250 to lust over: next we need the MacBook nano and 9 inch Dell Adamo.

Under the bonnet, the Acer Aspire One D250 is more of the same (Atom processor, optional 3G, up to 2GB RAM, 160GB hard drive and 10.1 inch screen), but what makes it special is its featherweight chassis, as the Acer Aspire One D250 is just 2.5cm thick at the chunkiest point.

The Acer Aspire One D250 is now on sale in Germany for €379 (£350) in blue, black, red and white, with a shipping time of 1-3 weeks on Amazon.de so let us know if you get your import on, and we’ll shout up when the Acer Aspire One D250 starts shipping in the UK.
